Refund request for Last War: Survival purchases – misleading ads and gambling mechanics

I have been an Apple customer for years and recently spent a significant amount (over $15,000) on Last War: Survival. The game uses misleading advertising and hidden gambling mechanics that push players to spend in unfair ways.

I contacted Apple Support regarding a refund, but I need clear guidance on how to escalate this issue. Are there official channels within Apple to handle refund requests for apps that operate with deceptive practices?

I believe this affects many players, not just myself, and Apple should review the developer’s practices. Any advice from the community or Apple representatives would be greatly appreciated.

  • You can request a refund for a recent purchase here:

  • You will get 1 appeal if it is denied.
  • Your can notify Apple of a fraudulent/scam app choosing that option at reportaproblem.apple.com
  • You can write a review for the app in the App Store to notify others.
  • You can review the App Review Guidelines here for what are reasons that an app may be removed from the store.

App Review Guidelines - Apple Developer

  • Last year there were 7,771,599 apps reviewed, 1,931,400 apps rejected, and 82,509 apps removed from the App Store.

  • If you are looking for monetary damages, you will have to file a claim with the Developer of the app. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act partially shields platforms from their content. That is why Twitter or Facebook are not liable for the content on their platforms.
