Since upgrading I am noticing that Apple's Weather app and its Widgets on the iPhone and Apple Watch are very buggy. They do not display and keep asking for Location permission, which I grant, and it works briefly. A few minutes later the Widget is not displaying and it is again asking for Location permissions. Anyone else seeing this?

I’m facing the same issue. I have tried restarting the phone, removing location permissions, adding “always”, “when in use” and all combinations, removing “precise location”, etc.
One of the complications on my Watch also depends on this and simply doesn’t work. The Watch app says “off” under Weather.
There are no updates available at this time. If someone has a workaround, please share.
Same here. Sometimes my AWU complication just ceases to show my temperature and displays a "-". When I open the complication it updates but then goes back to "-" after some time. Extremely frustrating.
I tried everything and this seems to be an issue , I have location services for weather set to always , the app asks be every time to grant permission and then I go back and check always ( when it’s available) and the watch is just missing the weather app. Same for maps , continuously asking for location permission which is already turned on. Apple please fix!
Not getting asked for location but since I updated to iOS 26 on both my iPhone 16 and Apple Watch series 10 the day the wrong weather location is shown on my Apple Watch and the weather on the watch still seems to think I'm at my sisters just over 2 miles down the road from me in the next town. Yet my iPhone 16 shows the right location in the weather app.
I have a similar issue. On my new iPhone 17 (iOS 26), something caused the weather app to reorder my cities. When I try to move them, it feels like they are moving and I see the other cities get out of the way while I drag, but when I let go, nothing happened. I tried to add a city and the app said I needed to delete some locations to make room. I removed 4 cities and I still got the message "Couldn't add location-To add more locations you'll need to remove others."
That is not the problem. Please fix this. Thank you.
I just started experiencing this issue. Weather app on phone keeps asking for location permission even though I’ve messed with the settings grant it permission again and again. The widget and Apple Watch complication are basically non-functional.
This also seems to be affecting maps. Each time I use it in Car Play I have to go into my phone to grant it location permission.
Anyways just dipping into the comment section to see if anyone has figured out a way around this or if there is a bug fix coming.
I have this issue as well and it brought me here to try and find a solution. It’s not only the weather app, but maps as well. Super annoying. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it????

It’s happening to me too. EU user. Both in Watch and iPhone. iOS 26.1.
I also have the same issue with my iPhone 16 Pro and Watch SE (2nd gen) in iOS 26.1 from EU.
Update - seems to be a bug with Location permissions. My Maps app lost connection to Location permissions and made me reauthorize Maps. Maybe a problem between Apple apps and Location permissions?
Latest update (26.0.1) seems to have fixed this issue for me. I didn’t see it mentioned on the release notes, though. Fingers crossed.
