apple care+ missing on new iPhone 17

last week I have ordered and paid for an iPhone 17 with apple care+. I have received the phone today

when I check the apple care tab in the settings, there is no mention of the apple care + is have paid for. I can't find a way to add it, I can only purchase a new one.

i have a receipt stating that I have paid for it. how do I get the coverage on my new phone?

I have known AppleCare+ take several days to show up on a new device ordered online. Don’t rush and purchase again, because you will probably end up with double cover and I found it was a real challenge to get the duplication cancelled. I suggest patience and wait at least until after the weekend before you start making calls to check. Certainly don’t think of purchase again for at least a week and even then check with Apple Support first.
