iOs26 is a major upgrade, and the process of re-indexing and updating may continue in the background for some time after you upgraded, and began using your iPhone. It is wise to ensure the iPhone has plenty of power and allow time for the update process to complete

You may want to check whether your iPhone is short on memory / storage space after the update.

Eg an iPhone generally needs at least 8Gb free in order to operate smoothly

(NB: Any storage space available on iCloud is quite separate from the iPhone's storage).

The available storage is shown at the top of the screen in Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

If needed: See how to: Manage storage on iPhone - Apple Support

If storage space is not the problem, and you haven't already: Try restarting your iPhone

(Deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update recent setting changes etc, and more.

Restarting often restores order if something is not working as expected.

Still need help? There may be interference issues with your Apple communication apps.

If you use third-party (non-Apple) apps on your iPhone:

Unnecessary apps like ad-blockers, virus checkers, cleaners and the like (even VPN) often cause issues.

If installed, you can try turning them off (or use uninstallers from their developers) to see if that helps.

Any apps you find necessary may need updating in order to remain compatible, and not cause issues:

Out-of-date browser extensions can also cause issues ... turn off / uninstall / or update if possible.
