iOS 26 battery drain and overheating on iPhone 16 Pro Max

I updated my phone on Monday 9/15 when ios 26 was released, and I have mature battery issues on my 16 pro max. I’ve had this phone for a year exactly and my battery capacity is at 97%. It’s so bad that I lost 40% in an hour and 33 minutes, and of that hour and 33 it was mainly interminable texting, a short phone call, and listening to music on carplay. Regardless that is unacceptable. Everyone says that the phone needs to “index” and that should take a few days, but this is over a week now and my phone dies extremely fast and gets extremely hot when using it. I can take maybe 15 pictures until it gets so hot that it lags to the point where you can not use it. Conveniently, my phone was 100% perfect prior to updating it. Does anyone have any idea over a week later this is still happening? Or is anyone going through the same thing as me?
