How does my Apple Watch backup when unpairing if iCloud storage is full?

I want to unpair my daughter's Apple Watch from my phone (we used Family Setup), and when I watched tutorials online, it seems that a backup is created of the watch's data to iCloud.

The issue is, she has used up the 5GB of iCloud data linked to her account, so I am wondering if the data will be lost, or how a backup will be created.

We don't want to lose any of her data, so any help is appreciated.

If you used "Apple Watch for Kids" to set up the Apple Watch, the backup is stored directly in iCloud:

If the free storage space iCloud is not enough, the watch will stop creating backups.

Can she share iCloud+ storage space with the family, in case you are using Family Sharing?
