iPhone 14 Pro shut down after condensation in camera lens

My son brought his iPhone 14pro in the bathroom while he showered it showed condensation in the camera lens a couple of days later it shut off and will not turn on went to apple they didn’t even try anything they just said water damage you need a new one do you think they gave me the right answer
