iphone 13 display completely black after iOS 26.0 update

After updating my iPhone 13 to iOS 26, it worked normally for the first few days. However, one day the display suddenly went completely black, and the phone has stopped working since then. I contacted Apple Service, and they informed me that devices purchased within two years are eligible for free repair. Since my iPhone is over three years old, it doesn’t qualify. Could you please advise if there are any options available for repair or replacement support in this case?

It really depends on what's wrong with your iPhone, since the display is blacked out. Is it a new display? Is it the battery? Is it the update that failed? It would probably be easiest, since you talked to Apple Support anyway, to hear about your options for an iPhone out of warranty. Otherwise, you should find a local iPhone repair shop.

Have you tried connecting your iPhone to a charger and doing a Forced Restart? If not, try.

Connect to charger, and do this:

1. Press and release Volume Up

2. Press and release Volume Down

3. Press and hold the Power Button, hold it until you see the Apple boot logo.

Please report back if it worked.
