iPhone 13 display green/pink after iOS update

Hello Apple Support,

I am writing to ask a question regarding my iPhone 13. After the latest iOS update, my display has developed a green/pink discoloration. My phone has never been dropped, never had water damage, and there is no physical damage or dent. The issue started only after the update.

I visited the authorized service center, but they said I need to pay for the display replacement. Since the problem is software-induced and not due to user mishandling, I would like to know if Apple can provide a free display replacement as a goodwill gesture.

I have attached photos and previous case details for your reference. Please let me know what steps I should take next.

Thank you.

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26

Troubleshooting a Green/Pink Screen After iOS Update:

First off, note that these are just user-to-user forums. You are not talking with Apple here. We are just everyday users like yourself.

A. Single-Out this Screen:

Take a screenshot and then eMail it to yourself using another device. If you see this hue then it is an iOS issue. If you do not see this color, then it is a hardware issue, and you should get this serviced.

B. Back Up, then Reset to Factory Settings:

Back Up what need be(i.e. turn on Contacts in iCloud Settings), and then reset your iPhone to Factory Settings. Go here: How to Factory Reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Important: Be certain to create a backup of your iPhone prior to bring it in. That way, you can have something to restore your iPhone from, should anything go wrong after the Factory Reset.

C. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: It is important that you provide feedback on this occurrence to Apple.  Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed. Apple will know nothing of your issue, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - AirPods - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all occurred after installing this update, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL to this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
