How can I disable(not hide) the summary function in Safari Reader mode.


Sometimes, I want to print the content of a webpage to paper, then I will enter the Reader mode, and command + P to print, it normally work will, until Safari support to summary the content in some of the web sites. such as bbc.com.


The content that printed will be awful after the summary shows, it cann't solve by simply hide the summary because the button still there, and the formatting still gets messed up.


Screenshot attached, the page was from BBC, and also, the pictures were gone:

Use “Export as PDF” instead of print

This often preserves images and avoids summary injection:

File → Export as PDF…

Then print the PDF.

This method tends to avoid Safari’s “Reader summarization” rewrite because the PDF export uses the older Reader engine.
