I think you cannot "move" local files from iPad to iCloud, but you can copy files and then delete them from iPad. You are able to do this either using Files app or directly from the Pages interface by selecting files and then clicking folder icon (copy) from the toolbar.

Seems it is not safe to do that.

Reminder: You can add the Pages files to iCloud, yet if you remove them from iPad they will also be removed from iCloud. ie: If you delete (or add) files from iPad, they also delete (or add) on iCloud.

Seems as iCloud is mainly for sync of files across devices, files in iCloud must also remain on the iPad.

You can however: Set up iCloud for Pages on all your devices - Apple Support

Else: If you want to store Pages files somewhere else than on the iPad:

You might want to buy an external storage device such as a USB drive.

Hi there , thanks for your response .

The title of my post was changed … … I'm asking about the location of the Pages folder ,

from on my iPad to iCloud Drive . There isn't a Pages folder in the Files app or Pages app under the location iCloud Drive , it's under on my iPad .

I thought it was backed up to iCloud automatically , do I need to turn it on ?

( in " manage storage " ) or in " saved to iCloud " ?

🤷‍♀️
