Timer disables siri and phone unlock

why does timer going off disable siri and phone? No matter how softly, slowly loudly or quietly i speak siri when the timer is going off is disabled. In fact so is face id unlock. The only way to get everything to work is manually stop the timer and everything else works again.

its got nothing to do with how loud the timer alarm tone is. I play music louder on phone and siri and phone unlock work via face id work fine

yes. Also the face ID to unlock the phone is also disabled as soon as the timer ends.

You've got a bigger problem than the timer in that case.

Honestly, what I'd do is, after backing up, restore the phone to factory settings and test it. If it works then, it would indicate that you have some sort of corruption somewhere. In that case, I wouldn't restore the backup. I'd sync what I could and restore other things manually. Yes, very annoying. If it doesn't work when restored to factory settings, time to contact Apple support.

As a person with disability that relies on siri. I think this is perfectly suited here.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with posting here. However, you may get more answers if you post in the iPhone forum. There are just more people there. I would suggest that you create a new thread there so that people see it in both places. You can put a link to this post in the second one. Or, if you like, I can request that this one be moved to the iPhone section.

Are you saying that you can't turn the timer off by saying "Siri, stop the timer?"
