This Accessory Uses Too Much Power When connecting IPhone to IMac

when connecting my iphone to imac, i receive too much power error on the computer and my iphone is not recognized

More details are required:

1) What year model is the iMac..?

2) What model is your iPhone..?

3) What other USB devices are connected to the iMac..?

The iMac can only support so many bus powered USB devices.


Several things to try:

1) Try fully charging the iPhone on a wall charger and then plug it into the iMac.

2) Try using a different USB sync cable between the iMac and the iPhone.

3) Try unplugging someother USB drives and devices from the iMac.

4) Try shutting down and restarting both the iMac and the iPhone.
