iPhone 17 Pro Max Orange Frame Turning Pink – Anodization Defect?
Hello,
I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max in orange color, purchased only a few months ago. The phone has been used carefully with a protective case, no drops, no impacts, and no chemical exposure.
Recently, the anodized metal frame has started to fade and shift toward a pink tone. This is not a scratch or surface wear. It looks like the coating itself is changing.
Apple Authorized Service classified this as “cosmetic” because it does not affect functionality, but a color shift of anodized metal within such a short time under normal use does not seem like normal aging. It looks more like an anodization / coating defect.
Has anyone else experienced this with the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max?
Did anyone manage to get this evaluated as a manufacturing defect and receive a replacement?
I would appreciate hearing from others with similar experiences.
