Quadriplegic asking help: Since iOS 26.2 update, many problems with Voice Control and Siri.

Since the dictation is not working for me. Also the notification on the phone is not working. The problems were described exactly what I have experienced. Not always working suddenly it working well and not working dictation and sunscreen screen through numbers

Going to go through all the steps that you kindly suggested because they should not be the update is not working so the settings should not have any effect when we change them try into settings correctly and if I was to do the backup et cetera I have no way of doing that, I did not take her back up before I have already gone through the settings since they installed back to my preferences handle it

I am hundred percent sure in my mind but definitely update fault. Sometimes writing is sometimes just one word and then another word next too many words from each other. To see that you have the same exact functionality issues confirms that it is the update. Two days ago so I'm not sure why you we have managed to had some issues improve. Two days ago update what about you install it in January question

Outrageous isn't it! Mine did the same. I only downloaded the update two days ago and on occasion it's working very well to dictate like now, then other times it just writes a load of gobbledygook. I can't imagine it can write all of this so well and act so well-behaved at other moments it's processing is so slow. Yours apparently has improved a little overtime? I wonder if mine will but that doesn't really make sense does it. Mine download in the improved way that yours is currently operating, that would be confusing because they should all be at the same point at the same time due to the work Apple will have done to fix bugs

The other major issue is that if I make or receive a FaceTime audio or video phone call with the iPad. Voice control and Siri then does not work at all and requires one of my carers to press the power button to turn off the iPad or iPhone. Prior to upgrading to iOS 26 once it was turned off I could then say "hey Siri" to regain control of the device but after the update I can no longer do this. This locking up Voice control and Siri after a FaceTime audio call existing before the update and now persist after the update.

I've tried resetting the device I've tried playing with multiple siri settings, but nothing works.

Frustrated with this situation companies to provide something that should be better. Since the update has come just as bad or worse than I used to use version Google

I’ve escalated this to a friend inside Apple who might be able to help. Fingers crossed. It could be something simple like server allocation. Let’s hope.
