No Calls or SMS after iOS16.7.13 earlier today

We have 2 x iPhone 8Plus. Earlier today we installed the apple - recommended iOs update to v 16.7.13 to address Triple Zero issues here in Australia.

Now we can not make calls, send SMS and have no 4G connection. I have tried the steps suggested online, namely

Turn off & on again, remove and reinsert SIM, resett network settings

Can I revert to the version prior to that one?

Per Telstra page, Update is now available:

Update 29 Jan 2026 at 3:30PM (AEDT):

Apple has released a carrier settings update to fix this issue
To install the update, follow these instructions:
- Connect your impacted iPhone to Wi-Fi
- Tap Settings > General > About
- Accept the carrier settings update by tapping “OK”
- Confirm the update installed by going to Settings > General > About and make sure it says “Telstra 54.1” next to Service Provider
If the Service Provider version does not show “Telstra 54.1” check you’re connected to Wi-Fi and repeat the steps above.
