How to make the Read Aloud facility on iPad say the word ‘not’ when reading aloud

✽ Keeping iPad updated to the newest iPadOS version often sidesteps issues, and keeps things up-to-date with the latest "bug-fixes" etc. You can check in Settings > General > Software updates.

(Reminder: Always wise to Back-up first, if choosing to update.)

✽ For an iPadOS already up-to-date: Restarting will often restore order if something s not working as expected.

✽ Wondering whether slowing down the speaking rate may help, so the word "not" is not glossed over in a sentence.

or

✽ perhaps you may want to try experimenting with adding "not" to Siri's pronunciation list:

eg; try adding "is not" "are not" "will not" "could not" "do not" etc. to the list of Siri pronunciations.

(or even have Siri say "not not" when encountering the word not, so the word will stand out clearly)

(Seems Siri can "learn" from your interactions too.)
