I am desperate IPhone 17 pro max issues since October

17 pro max. people cannot hear me. driving or at home. I have gone to Apple store 2 x. No help. Talked Apple tech so many x’s that I feel like they are family. Almost ready to throw this non working phone in the garbage. Trying to do a repair chat today and the tech finally gave up because the camera kept going out.

this is a piece of garbage that I can’t get any help with. I know it is the iPhone when my husband and I purchased new phones at the same time. I bought the iPhone and he bought the Samsung. He has not had a minutes problem. Driving, in the basement, no issues anywhere in our house he gets 3 to 4 bars. My piece of garbage is lucky if I get 1 bar

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am desperate. This has been going on since October.

You should hve insisted that the last engineer you worked with authorised a warranty repair or replacement via mail-in

So when you went to the Apple Store, surely you had them call you and you were able to show them the issue with your phone, weren't you? We have two iPhone 17 Pros here (one Pro and one Pro Max) and we have no issues with anyone ever being able to hear us clearly when we are on a phone call. If this is a persistent issue, it should be easy to demonstrate it. So, I'm confused...........And by the way, I get you're frustrated, but this is a user to user only forum, but you're in Apple house. So calling your phone a piece of garbage isn't going to get you very far here. Just saying..........

i am 76 and I am frustrated and yes I do feel like it is a piece of garbage.

I wish I could write that I have never had a problem but I have.

I feel like I am beating my head against a wall

Obviously I have gotten on a wrong site

So, I’m confused. You state the issue is you can’t hear hear callers and or they can’t hear you. Is that correct? How does your camera factor into the discussion? I’m also struggling to understand how the basement is involved, let along driving in a basement.

Can you please restate the issues and maybe just list them. iOS 26.3 released today, so why not update your device and let’s see if an issue or two you’re experiencing has been fixed.

Plenty of us similar age! As your husband has an Android, maybe you are also running a VPN, and if so please completely uninstall it. Check Settings, General, VPN & device mgmt for a profile.
