iPhone 17 picture uploads revert to default folder

not a problem so much as a setting but on my old iPhone I was able to upload a picture from my downloads and when I went to upload another picture it would take me back to the same folder and even same scroll down amount but with the iPhone 17 It just takes me to the default download page every time and so I have to go through multiple folders and then find where I was through scrolling every time. My question is can I change it to how I had it before? Is this a setting or is it just an iPhone 17 thing?
