"How do I stop Safari hacking notifications after clicking a suspicious link?: I went on YouTube to watch a live game and clicked a link in chat to get to the live but a new tab popped up saying Adobe and Mcafee is checking for viruses and now I clicked out of the tab but now I keep receiving safari notifications to renew subscription and hacking detected with a title of update-macosx.com even after I went to settings to stop safari notifications, is this something to worry about after I put it as deny in my settings?"

Secure your Mac and Safari:
A. View your Extensions:
Extensions are essentially add-ons that allow for other apps to work (i.e. Authenticator app for Outlook). If you have no need for any, delete them.
- Go to: Safari menu
- Select: Safari Extensions...
- Select: each one, and trash it(if not needed)
B. Uninstall McAfee and Norton:
First off, uninstall ALL of your Security Software. On a Mac, go to: Applications > find the uninstaller. It would be located below the application's name. IMPORTANT: Note that having two security softwares installed on your computer will result in conflictions between one another.
C. Turn On your Firewall:
- Go to: Settings
- Click: Network
- Toggle On: Firewall
and...
- Click: Options button..
- Toggle On: Block all incoming connections
