Safari iPhone 14 Pro Max Content Flashing on iPhone 17 Pro Max Screen

I own two iPhones one is iPhone 14 Pro Max and an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Both are running iOS 26.3. I’m using the iCloud Plus share feature for storage. When i want to open safari, I swear I saw my iPhone 14 Pro Max Safari pop up briefly on the iPhone 17 Pro Max screen. The data is supposed be separate, apple even say so I’m wondering why it did that. Is this a bug? Am I just overthinking this? And wasn’t what i saw?

What you saw is normal. Safari does not “flash” content from another iPhone. iOS 26 briefly shows a Safari start‑page sync preview when two devices share the same Apple ID and iCloud Safari is enabled.

1. Open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Save to iCloud (See All) ➡️ Safari and turn OFF if you want each phone’s Safari to stay separate.

2. Open Settings ➡️ Apps ➡️ Safari ➡️ Close Tabs ➡️ choose Manually to stop cross‑device tab syncing from appearing.

3. Restart the iPhone to clear the cached preview.

This is not a bug and does not mean the phones are sharing screens. It’s just iCloud Safari syncing showing a momentary preview during launch.

Apple did not lie. You are just overthinking this whole thing. What you are experiencing is Safari synching between devices.

So nothing got transferred then to my 17 pro max i mean the 14 does have a different iCloud account connected to it its not the same as my iPhone 17

I'm only sharing the iCloud storage (which apple does say both iCloud data stays separate) and that Apple provides with iCloud Plus from my primary iCloud account to my secondary iCloud account. That's all I'm sharing I'm not sharing anything else. How can I verify if I'm sharing anything else? All i want to know did any data transfer between devices if il just share iCloud plus storage?

Are you sharing tabs, browsing history, bookmarks and passwords between devices? If so, you might be seeing this.

Those tabs aren’t on my devices. They are on my wife’s that’s disabled. So, she would have issue frequently if I couldn’t assist in managing her device remotely.

However, this illustrates how information is shared between devices. If during opening another tab I accidentally hit something she’s researching about a stray cat that’s hanging around I’ll have an article about cat worms on my screen.
