iPod Nano 5th Gen won't sync with updated iTunes...should I install an earlier version?

I have an old iPod Nano 5th generation that I adore and refuse to stop using (don't judge). Having trouble getting the updated version of iTunes to recognize it. I've done all the troubleshooting that I could find online. I decided to uninstall iTunes and reinstall. Should I install an older version of iTunes? I had to stop updating iTunes in order to get my iPod to sync. But somehow an update got posted and the iPod stopped working.

If I install an older version, what do you suggest?

No way! Me too I use the nano 5 gen on a regular basis. Anyways to answer your question, I don't have much experience but my guess is that probably using an older version of iTunes would work. I hope I helped. Have a good day!
