Crackling Noise During Music Playback after iOS 4.1 Update

Hey guys. Play music through my iPhone via USB in my Prius. Music has always been fine, but when i updated to 4.1, then started to play music in my car, i noticed a crackling noise during music playback. I thought maybe the speakers were blown, but there is no such sound when i play music CDs or pandora or anything other than the Mp3s. Is anyone having music playback issues after the 4.1 update???

I have the exact same car (2010 Infiniti G37 with factory audio) and the exact same problem. Worked great until 4.1. Apple needs to undo whatever problem it created with this: seems like audio streaming through the dock connector is universally problematic.

In case it helps: I've noticed that if it gets so bad the sound stops playing entirely that I can turn off the audio on the car (by pushing in the volume knob) and then turn it back on and often it will right itself (until it happens again, of course).

Same here. 3GS, alpine x305
Plays fine over bluetooth but intermittent ~1 sec audio drops every couple of minutes when connected via USB.

Had a similar issue with audio dropping after the 4.02 update that was solved by resetting both the headunit and the ipod while it was plugged into the headunit. Also you could solve the former dropped audio issue by manually opening the ipod app, clicking on the bluetooth symbol in the bottom left and choosing "ipod dock connector" over bluetooth, suggesting to me that this is indeed a bluetooth v. cable conflict issue.

Haven't had a chance to try that with this problem yet. AAPL, please sort this out... it is getting tiresome to lose functionality of my "made for ipod" car stereo with each point or point-point update to the ios.

I have a Pioneer AVH-P...and as soon as i "upgraded" my audio drops out like every 20 sec r so of each song. I tried everything to go back to 4.02 but no luck. Now i am back to using my ipod classic since it was soooo annoying. I BOUGHT THE IPOD FOR MUSIC!!! The apps is cool and everything else is OK but the MUSIC is the most IMPORTANT thing for ipod. I bought the Pioneer for my ipod touch. PLEASE FIX IT or let us go back to the version that worked. I hope someone find a fix and post it lol.
