Netflix Problems

I don't think it's crashing. It just kicks out to the home screen because the Netflix app is unresponsive do to the service being down.

Now that the site is up I will wait a bit and see if ATV is working.

I have had problems on what seem like busy nights with Netflix freezing, buffering for a long time or just quitting. After the firmware update tonight, if I even try to click on NF on my ATV, the ATV locks up and has to be unplugged. NF works fine on my Mac, iPhone and iPod. Nice brick job, Apple. Thanks.

I updated my AppleTV today to 4.2.1 and now everytime I try to go to Netflix, it freezes up

actually, it's an issue with todays ios update - according to Tim with AppleTV support. Apple is aware and will issue a fix in the next 24-48 hours.

Fair enough. But actually Netflix was down for awhile, so it hasn't been fine. In any case, best to leave it for a bit and see what happens.

Yes, Apple screwed up the Netflix app on Apple TV after the update. I can log in to my computer and the WII console both worked fine.

It is apple tv's update - Netflix streamed fine all day long. Tonight - saw option for update on apple tv software... did update. Now Netflix won't work on apple tv. did full system restore. No joy.. Netflix continues to stream fine on my laptop. Have a 15MB/sec download speed... Apples needs to provide a way for me to rollback my update.

It's not the iOS update. People who didn't update are having issues. I'm running 4.1.1 and I'm having issues. Ignorant.

It's a Netflix issue.

netflix is working fine on my macbook pro, my Tivo and my Xbox. So it's AppleTv. Call apple support, even they are saying it was caused by the ios update.

I've streamed Netflix all day via Apple TV, got an "UPDATE NOW" pop up, as soon as I updated, NETFLIX no longer works at all on my Apple TV. Netflix streams fine on my Laptop, Ipad and my other PC. Only on my Apple TV is Streaming Netflix a problem now. Once again, the problem only exist on my Apple TV now that I did the most recent update on 03/22/11 at or around 9:30-10:00 pm tonight. This problem ***** and makes me wanna throw my Apple TV out the freaking' window. Seems every time I have a update, something seems to not work. Almost incentive to not update this crap anymore. I tried resetting, restoring to factory settings, etc. But it doesn't matter what I do. I still can't make Netflix work. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

It's good to know that Apple is aware of the problem with their latest update to ATV2 relating to Netflix.
Could it be a conspiracy to increase rentals from the Apple Store? 😉

I'm kidding, I realize it's a pain for Apple to get a high volume of calls when something goes wrong. I'll look forward to letting our four year-old watch Blues Clues and Backyardagains via Netflix soon. Well, I'm sure he will.
