Netflix Problems

I tried and tried to login to my account and could not using my User Name at Netflix with Safari. Still didn't get a reset password email after a number of attempts. I finally used the link that said something about not having access to the email any longer and it allowed me to login using my name and credit card number. I reset my password a couple of times and it WOULD NOT allow me to do a member login using my email and password.
This has me thinking that there may be a login account issue from many of the devices using Netflix. Try logging into your Netflix account from a computer and if you can't using your email and password that may be why your ATV is having problems.
It finally worked after 1 1/2 hrs! Resetting won't fix it, you are going to have to restore to factory settings in order for it to work again.
Think I have my issue fiugured out. ATV is calling for an HD or higher quality signal, and with my 2.54 internet speed, it cannot supply this to the tv. I am able to watch on the macbook pro and ipad but not the tv. So, I adjusted the picture quality under account settings and, BINGO, can watch on the tv. I do not know why I was able to watch it before, maybe the colder weather or something changed with the update.
Either way, this is what fixed it for me, if you can watch on smaller devices, try to lower your quality and give it a try.
The problem is with Netflix, not with any update. They are working on it now.
The problem is with NetFlix and they are working on it now. It has nothing to do with any updates and varies from Login issues to loading issues with streaming videos.
I to am having the netflix/atv issue. I just updated my atv to the latest update 4.4.3 and now I can't log into netflix. I wish I did not do the update and now there is no going back to the previous update. I just hope Apple reads these post and fixes it.
I am guessing this is a NetFlix issue, but it's changes with time. It may have to do with their servers, but other factors may be a play at various times. I have had weeks of almost flawless service, and then I may return to unexpected pauses in streaming. Recently I also had interruptions with an error message that required going back to the Netflix menu and restarting playback.
If this is a Netflix issue rather than an Apple TV issue... does this problem exist with other Netfix devices, like Roku or Boxee?
FIXED! Hello All I had the same problem since the last update to the Apple TV. I simply "Reset Settings". You have to reenter your WIFI access, Apple Store Access and then finally NetFlix Access. This did the trick though.
Good luck.

I have tried the reset so many times I give up. There has got to be a fix for the netflix issue and the 4.4.3 atv update. HEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!
so much for a good thing, stopped working again after brief usage. Called apple, they blammed netflix, called netflix, they blamed the apple tv and my isp, called my isp, local company so I know most of them, they said there is no issue with the line but will conduct a line test to make 100% sure.
So to recap. I took the ATV to my brothers store which they have 45Mbps speed, and it works fine, no issues. I bring it home, 24 ping, 2.54 upload and .81 down, on speedtest and speakeasy both, I cannot watch netflix. The funny thing is that I was able to view netflix for almost two months without issues. The only difference that I can say is that right after the update, 4.4.3, it stopped working.
Maybe it was the butler, with a candlestick in the study..........
Odd that it worked for a short time. I am fortunate that mine is still working after I did the "Reset Settings". One post had suggested to change the TV resolution. That made no difference.
Hopefully the "Reset Settings" will work for some. For now I have Netflix back unless something changes.
Yes, you can get captioining now on Apple TV by simply going into the settings menu on Apple TV. (This works on NETFLIX) Go to your CC or subtitles area from there, and, and hit ok. It will give you the option to get CC and subtitles on anything that is already caption ready. Then, just enjoy. Thank you Apple for fixing this issue.
Same here, watched Netflix on my ATV2 without incident since July, updated it a couple days ago to the 4.4.3 - cant watch Netflix. Tried to reset, restore, change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 - now I can't even sign into Netflix on the ATV2 (I can on other devices). So I changed my password for Netflix like some previous posts from last year mentioned - doesn't work.
I wish I never updated either - though it looked like a 'hard stop' when it popped up to update.
Sigh, I don't know what to do ....
Hello! Apple? Is there anybody out there? Can we please have an update that resolves the Netflix issue with the last update???
