Every time I try to check for available downloads, I'm told 'could not complete your request, error -9813.' I've found the meaning of many other error codes, but not this one. Anyone know?
All the Apple man said it was the keychain, but we now know that doing First Aid or renewing it does not fix the problem. Since telling him that his solution did not work it has all gone quiet...
This is the second problem with iTunes 10 since I downloaded it. The strange thing is that I can download my Podcasts just fine, but when it comes to downloading my available purchases (South Park in this case) I cannot do it. I still get the error. I have a feeling that we'll have to solve this on our own, just like I had to for the last problem, because Apple was of no help at all.
I had this problem before upgrading to itunes 10. I downloaded 10 to try and fix it... that certainly didn't work. I spoke to Apple support and iTunes support. Yesterday morning I was able to chat but now that is unavailable. I got a generic support email that didn't help.
This is now going on 36 hours without a fix and my phone is now not syncing... and actually deleted some of my apps when I tried to sync.
I'm getting extremely annoyed. Why isn't this getting fixed?
To photocardalbums.com: I'm glad that emptying the Safari cache and resetting Safari seemed to do the trick for you. That was one of the first things I tried but it did not work for me. I just tried it again (for the heck of it) but I'm still getting the same error message in the iTunes store.
To everyone else: I'm still able to download the podcasts that I've already subscribed to. I haven't tried subscribing to any new ones through the iTunes store since I've started having this login problem but I suspect I would get the same -9813 error message.
I wonder why that part of the software still works for me but not the iTunes store itself? Anyone else here still able to download their podcasts?
I have the same error on my I Mac.
It does not allow me to sign in. Also my Apple TV does not recognize my ID.
Always the same error code -9813.
My Laptops don't have the problem. So it is not ISP. Its a mac system problem.
Fix it guys.
Same problem here! Can't sign in, can't download music. Nothing is working. I tried replacing the keychain folder, etc. nothing works! It is frustrating!
No problem updating apps on my phone and iPad. When I mentioned that to tech support yesterday, she responded that we were receiving a Mac os operating system error. Still can't download or access my account on my MacBook pro. 36 hours and counting.
The Java update didn't work for me. What did work was creating a new Apple ID and password, I was then able to get into the Itunes store and download. Old ID still gives me the same error. Not sure if anything was done on their end though....
Not sure. Can't hurt trying. You're not disabling or canceling the other account. You're just adding another one. If it's an issue on their end and they fix it, you can go back to your first account.
I'm having the same issue too. The keychain thing that I'm seeing all over the place didn't work. I wasn't able to "reset" only repair and verify which told me everything was fine. Doesn't matter...point is, now that I've logged out of my iTunes account on my laptop I can't even get back in! This is frustrating. We need a fix or at the very minimum a confirmation from Apple that they hear us and that they're working on the issue!!
I have been trying all day to purchase songs from Itunes and I keep getting this error message too. I also cannot access my Itunes account. I have a Mac OSxX version 10.5.8 It has not yet been 24 hours but its been, as of now, 6 hours I have not been able to buy music or access my account. But all other things seem to be working fine in my Itunes library. Music and movies in it play fine. I just cannot access the store or my account. They better hurry and fix this problem before my husband changes his mind about all the music purchases I had him talked into letting me buy this morning.
