Error -9813

Every time I try to check for available downloads, I'm told 'could not complete your request, error -9813.' I've found the meaning of many other error codes, but not this one. Anyone know?

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

My wife's Windows 7 computer is fine. My daughter's XP computer is fine. It's just my IMac. Just create a new Apple ID and account, then you'll get in. Worked for me. If you have another account for someone else in the family, try that. It will probably work on the Mac. Seems that the account normally used on the Mac is just screwed up.

tried all the recommend fixes.
i don't know if it is coincidence, but the error happened after i did the recommended firmware update that came through Apple's system software update

fingers crossed they fix it soon...

Nope... I have the updates (both firmware and java) installed on one computer and not the other, to no effect. Still the same issue on both computers.

Having the same problem as everyone else. Have 2 MacBook pros running 10.5.8 and itunes 10.0.1 and both get the -9813 message when attempting to download an app from itunes store. My original iphone also cannot download apps returning a time and date error message. My wife's iphone 3gs, however, is currently able to download apps with no issue. Updated all software, tried cleaning up keychain, and reseting safari with no joy. Hope someone can provide a fix soon.

Apple Support responded to my plea for help and suggested:
1. reset my keychain - did that: no improvement
2. Reset Safari, then clear cache - did that: no improvement
3. fully uninstall iTunes 10 then reinstall and reinstall Quicktime - did those; took awhile although the instructions were easy to follow: no improvement. I still get error 9813 when I try to log in to my iTunes store account.

But feel free to see if any of the above work for you.

I've asked what next, apart from a phone call to Apple Support. Awaiting a response...
