iOS 4.2.1 & Bluetooth Problems?

Have any of you experienced problems with iOS 4.2.1 recognizing your bluetooth device? I have 2 bluetooth headsets, and my iPhone 4 will not find the connection. It says it is searching, but continues to "search" without finding the devices and I have made sure they are turned on as well.

I have an iphone 4 and have not had any success with the quality of the audio with the Icon...I was told that it was the Jawbone itself, so I paired it with my work phone and the ICON was crystal clear. I am disappointed that I purchased the 4 b/c bluetooth is critical to me.

I really hope Apple can address this with an IOS update, but I am loosing hope that this is a flawed design.

Since 4.2.1 (and possibly before), and including 4.3, I have the following BlueTooth issue: At some point during the uptime of the phone, it will suddenly reduce the BT strength to about 1/3 or 1/4. I can prove this by laying the phone on my desk, and walk away. At 10 feet away, the connection drops. After a reboot, however, it will always return to normal, and I can walk about 30-40 feet away before losing connectivity. This is definitely an iOS bug, and has been present for at least 2 versions now. And, I have done a power test today to confirm if it's something to do with the battery getting low (to activate this BT strength reduction), but alas, at 5% now, and it has not popped up (I had to reboot earlier today b/c the BT strength dropped). I have a feeling it's a memory leak/corruption issue after having the phone up for an extended period of time.

K4RGD: I share your pain. Apple has betrayed iPhone 3g owners with iOS 4.3.

Mine stopped pairing with my 2007 BMW after an iOS 4.1 upgrade. The Genius at the Apple store could only offer me sympathy 3-4 months back. And annoyingly asked me to wait for the next iOS version. And what brilliant advice that has turned out to be! Sick way for a company to treat paying customers like this.

Goodbye Apple, Hello Android.

Welcome to the USS Minow of smart phones......I loved my 3gs.....but, went ahead and bought the 4....what a lousy pos this phone is...garbled speaker calls.....more dropped calls than dropped f bombs between charlie sheen and cbs.....forget about bluetooth connections ......apple should include 2 cans and a string with every purchase of an iPhone 4

i have 3 imacs, 2 notebooks, 3 ipads, and too many ipods....so, I'm kinda stuck with Apple ....but, if the rest of the phone mfgs ever get their **** together and create something unique and wonderful that plays well with multiple carriers......I am outta here! User uploaded file

and don't get me started about the Mobile Me Cloud.....OMG! User uploaded file whatta pos that is.....quadruple entries show up in contact lists.....Apple musta got a deal on a Chernobly cloud

Well.... I feel I have waited long enough for Apple to correct their mistake. Not being able to Bluetooth to my vehicle because of Apple's update that was inconsiderate to all who enjoyed and used Bluetooth is no longer acceptable. Apply has had ample time to rectify the error, but obviously have chosen not to. It's time for me to get another phone....and it won't be an iphone, nor will I ever purchase an Apple product. If enough people quit buying their product, maybe they will learn a lesson. To Apple - the customer DOES NOT COME FIRST.

Hey all

Same deal for me here. Ever since the upgrade to 4.2.1 - i've lost all bluetooth use for my iphone. i am also one of those who using the Iphone 3GS for internet theathering. before recent upgrade to iOS4.2.1 firmware, my phone worked perfectly with my macbook pro.. however once i done the upgrade, the bluetooth seems to connect with my iphone but can't acquire secure connection and negotiate with the internet DNS and IP.

my phone screen shows "Theathering" but no internet connection. If i use a USB connection, then it is o.k.

This totally ***** - makes you hape upgrading doesn' it.
