ITUNES APP STORE WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD WITH EXISTING APPLE ID

Hey,

I've been trying to create a free itunes app store account. First I read the instructions in this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534, but the link shows how to create a new account, the problem is that I already have a Apple ID.

On the other hand when I try to sign in in the app store with my existing Apple ID, I get the message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store please review your account information" with two options "cancel" and "review".

Clicking in review, I go to the page with the terms of service, continuing I go to a page where I have to type my email, my password, question and answer for the password and my birth date. The email field has the email that is being used with my current Apple ID, and the password field has the password of my existing Apple ID. The other fields are blank. Completing them, and clicking in next I go to the payment options page, but there's no "none" option, so I can't make a account withou using a credit card.

Is there a way to create a itunes app store without a credit card with my existing apple ID, or a I have to create a new one ?

"Maybe not for you but for me it simply does work." Well thanks for the helpful post. I will try and see if that resolves this problem. Is that setting in a menu, a .plst file, or iTunes preferences?

Your posts are not cute, helpful, or relevent to people experiencing this issue. Can you possibly refrain from posting unless you have a solution to offer?

Grow up.

Is there some reason you keep responding to my posts if you don't like what I have to say?

And please keep it relevant. Links to entering your CC info for the Apple online store have nothing to do with iTunes.

Since you are looking for "cute" responses, you'll likely have to go elsewhere. I was asked a question and I responded.

When someone posts, "It simply doens't work. There is absouletly no none option"

this is obviously incorrect so the post is extremely relevant to this discussion.

Here's what I did.

  1. Select Store in iTunes.
  2. Make sure not signed in. (It says Sign In at top right of iTunes)
  3. Find anything free in the iTunes store.
  4. Click on Free to download it.
  5. Enter existing AppleID and password (never used in iTunes).
  6. Re-enter username and password to verify billing & payment info.
  7. Select None as the Payment Type.

typical [ˈtɪpɪkəl]

adj

Considered to be an example of some repetative undesirable trait.

"that is typical of you!"

I am not creating an apple ID, i am signing into an existing 10 year old

account, that has up untill now worked fine.

1. Logged out of existing, functional, apple id account on my iPad

so someone else can take a look at it.

2. Couple hours later navigate to app store.

3. click to download and install free app.

And now the window pops up saying this account has never been used in the app store,

I have to re-enable my account, agree to the TOS again and, as you can see, enter CC

info because there is no "none"
