ITUNES APP STORE WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD WITH EXISTING APPLE ID

Hi

I have regularly change the credit card details from NONE to VISA and back to NONE in my Itunes account that my sons use on their ipods whenever I decide to let them buy something. I have done this at least 15 times over the last 12 months, and today I went into my account and there is no NONE button anymore, so my CC is stuck on there. Hence finding this forum.

The only only thing I am doing different is accessing my account online through general webiste, rather than actual iTunes programme, as I am at work today. I will not be able to go back to my own computer until later so will try it again form their through itunes software and let you know if the NONE button comes back.

How are you accessing your iTunes account info without using iTunes?

Just went to UK Itunes website went to store tab, and account home page where you can log into your account. First time I had tried it that way.

1. Set up an account in icloud

2. Then try and set up the account in iTunes.

If that doesn't work,

then try downloading a free app. you will be asked ot verify your account, then it asks you for a GD CC #

Anyway you approach it you will not be able to move forward without a CC. and you will see the following image. Your response = FAIL. But I can't say I am shocked by someone who's proabably in their 30's and still living at home.

I tried this but I don't have the "None" Option from a browser either. :-(

And I have offered a solution numerous times but it seems to work only sometimes for others.

In another thread, someone mentioned they tried it 10 times and there was no None option but magically, it was there after the 11th time..

Thanks but as noted in the screenshot you posted that is for the Online Apple store, not the iTunes store.

So again, how does one view their iTunes account info without using iTunes?

That is the Apple online store website, not the UK iTunes website.

Info entered there is for the online Apple store, not iTunes.

You access your iTunes accopunt info thru the iTunes application.

No idea.

I have posted a screenshot with it. It shows up for me (and others but not everyone and not all the time).

Someone else in another thread noted it was not there when they tried it 10 times but it magically appeared after the 11th time.

Yes just realised that is the Apple Store not Itunes. I have now accessed through Itunes application and was able to click the None button as I have been doing successfully for the last year.

Sorry if I confused any of you!!

Glad you got it sorted!

Hopefully others will see your post (and the other posts in this topic) and realize it is possible to have None button and not resort to childish name calling and rudeness.

I have it (see on page 6 of this thread) and kathmandu has it on this page.

No Chris - there is still no NONE option for the first time an existing AppleID is used in the iTunes store. Kathmandu had an existing account and had already used it before, remember?

Honestly there's no need to defend apple for that ****. It simply doens't work. There is absouletly no none option
