ITUNES APP STORE WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD WITH EXISTING APPLE ID

Hey,

I've been trying to create a free itunes app store account. First I read the instructions in this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534, but the link shows how to create a new account, the problem is that I already have a Apple ID.

On the other hand when I try to sign in in the app store with my existing Apple ID, I get the message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store please review your account information" with two options "cancel" and "review".

Clicking in review, I go to the page with the terms of service, continuing I go to a page where I have to type my email, my password, question and answer for the password and my birth date. The email field has the email that is being used with my current Apple ID, and the password field has the password of my existing Apple ID. The other fields are blank. Completing them, and clicking in next I go to the payment options page, but there's no "none" option, so I can't make a account withou using a credit card.

Is there a way to create a itunes app store without a credit card with my existing apple ID, or a I have to create a new one ?

Well, that was constructive.

I think I didn't get to your post given the several pieces of conflicting advice on this thread, interspersed with several more comments about varying degrees of functionality or lack thereof (much of which is by now outdated) - and let's not forget a good old helping of being unnecessarily catty (something to which you have contributed marvellously). I started reading the thread from the beginning, got tired of posts that weren't addressing the question properly, fiddled around myself until I got it working, then wrote a post about how I did it, including all the steps in case anyone else in a similar situation might find it useful. I'm sorry if my doing so offended your sensibilities. That said, I'm sure that even you could probably take something from my post - e.g. a lesson in how to use punctuation...

Yours good-naturedly,

I'VE FIGURED IT OUT GUYS!!!! Okay listen closely!

To make a free itunes app store account without a credit with an EXISTING APPLE ID you must :

Go download a free app when it ask for your account info put in you existing apple id. When you enter it, a notice should pop up saying "This apple id has not yet been used with the itunes store, please review your account informtion"

Click Review agree to the terms of service and all that bs. When your done your information page should come up

Enter any active credit card number information and at the bottom enter the cardholders information.

Ask your friend, mom/dad, family friend or anybody with a credit card if you can use their card info. tell them they

WILL NOT receive any charges or fees to their account. tell them you are only using their info for 2 more minutes.

After your done, your account was successfully created. Next,

Click on your email address in the top right corner and select "account"

Erase all the credit card information and select "NONE"

then enter all of your information at the bottom without a credit card #.

Hope This Helped! (:
