ITUNES APP STORE WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD WITH EXISTING APPLE ID

Hey,

I've been trying to create a free itunes app store account. First I read the instructions in this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534, but the link shows how to create a new account, the problem is that I already have a Apple ID.

On the other hand when I try to sign in in the app store with my existing Apple ID, I get the message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store please review your account information" with two options "cancel" and "review".

Clicking in review, I go to the page with the terms of service, continuing I go to a page where I have to type my email, my password, question and answer for the password and my birth date. The email field has the email that is being used with my current Apple ID, and the password field has the password of my existing Apple ID. The other fields are blank. Completing them, and clicking in next I go to the payment options page, but there's no "none" option, so I can't make a account withou using a credit card.

Is there a way to create a itunes app store without a credit card with my existing apple ID, or a I have to create a new one ?

Doesn’t work for me either.

I’m a flex developer trying to deploy and test an app on a work iPad and just need some networking tools (ping) to find out why I can’t debug over the network (which seems to be the only way).

It took me 30 mins to get up and running with droid. Three days and £90 to Apple (just to register as a developer) and they’re still putting hurdles in the way.

I’ll admit the iPad is pretty slick. It’s just a shame apple’s policies seem intent on making it impossible to do anything on.

Why Apple, Why?

i had trouble too but now i can do. okay this is how you do it with no credit card.

**if you already have an existing account and would like to use the same email address, just change the address on the current account to a phony one. that will free up your main one.**

go to itunes on your computer. sign out of any current accounts. then go to app store. then click on a FREE app and go to its page. then click "FREE" to download it. it will prompt you to make an id. fill in the blanks and check the boxes. then you will go to billin info, where you can choose none. its pretty boss ah? your welcome.

Hi nale86, Sorry i don't fully follow your post.

in iTunes i go Store -> Sign in -> enter username and pass of the exisiting account i need to use. and click sign in.

Next i get a message saying my ID has not been used with iTunes Store and i must review (so i click review)

Wecome to Itunes store splash screen -> continue

privacy policy-> tick -> agree

edit details screen ->enter year of birth -> continue

payment information, the only options i have are Visa, Master card, amex, clickandbuy, or maestro.

so i'm stuck.

I can't find a tools menu anywhere (using itunes on win7)

i've heard you can change your payment options once in. but I don't see why i should let apple have my personal details in the first place considering this is a work ipad and a work project.

I had this same problem for a couple of days and I checked every apple forum I could find, but I couldn't find any answers. Then I realized that they're probably not letting me see the "None" option because my year of birth was set to 1990 and they expect you to have a credit card if you're an adult. So I set my year of birth to 1996 (Which is a kid's age) and sure enough the none option was right there where it's supposed to be.

Read the post, please. The previous poster says that if you enter a kid’s age, the option to select “None” appears where it was not available before. However, that doesn’t mean I want to get stuck with a kid’s age. Hence, my question. So, CAN YOU CORRECT THE AGE LATER?

If you want to, yes.

But if you are changing the age simply to get None, you don't have to.
