It's a shame, because I had thousands of dollars to spend in App Store and now they can not get my money 😉
Wow, that looks familiar. I am keeping up the hope that the next software update will magically fix it.
If anyone here has friends in high places at APPL now would be a good time to point them in the direction of this thread and see if they can do something about it. 😉
So yesterday via the express lane the 'advisor' told me to download/reinstall 10.6.8 combo update and that should have fixed the problem; well It didn't. So called back to follow up today. The advisor told me he hasn't heard of this problem at all whatsoever and put me on hold for about 10 minutes to find some more information about it. After he came back, he said based on every thing he could find, it's a App Store web site problem and gave me the apple.com/support/Mac/app-store website to get support. Well, I have submitted another case in there to see what happens.
That is good news KuriousGeorge - that may lead to some positive action on this (I am afraid the App Store folks are oblivious to this). I also did the 10.6.8 comboupdate mambo with no result. There must be something wrong with the App Store code.
Well, I decided to reinstall 10.6.7; that is start 10.6.3 > 10.6.4 > 10.6.5 > 10.6.6 and then 10.6.7 combo update. In a separate partition in a separate disk. Now I can login to the App Store again.

😟 I miss my app store.
Does anyone else find it funny that in order to get Lion from the App Store once it's available, you have to have 10.6.8, but for some of us (I'm willing to be a LOT of us) in 10.6.8 you can't access the App Store? How on earth are we supposed to upgrade to Lion!?
Can you tell me how you did that? I'm a Mac Noob and I don't understand how to make disk partitions in this system.
I am running Lion 10.7 GM that I installed from my developer account and even with Lion I am having this problem and cannot figure out now to fix it.
Apple has better get this mess straightend out soon.
