MacBook Pro 2011 17" hard freeze

So keep us in touch about Lion fixing the freezes.

My brand new MBPro just froze up while I was scrolling through this thread. arrrg.

Has anyone ordered a Macbook Pro (2.0/2.2/2.3Ghz) in the past 2 weeks ? IF YES, what is the status regarding heating issue/freezes/SATA speed (3 vs 6 Gbp) ?

No, I don't have encryption on my account. My issue is with iTunes/Quicktime only, all other programs work fine for me.

Can we raise the international attention to at the consumer's right regarding this matter since we haven't got any feedback to solve this issue?we don't want to pay for something faulty.

Maybe this whole issue with freezing on very expensive Macbook Pro computers needs to be made more public, maybe via TV shows like BBC 1 Watchdog.

Well, I've got my new RAM from Crucial. Since I swapped out the olf 8GB and went back t the stock 4GB I've not had a crash at all.

Tomorrow I'll put the 8GB in and see what happens.
