10.6.7 Freezes when attempting to run iTunes 10.2.1

I have just updated to 10.6.7 all Apps (e.g. Mail, Safari, Parallels) tried so far work fine except iTunes. Every time I run iTunes 10.2.1 I get as far as the window displaying correctly then within 20secs the machine freezes and is unresponsive to anything other than a forced shutdown via the power button. I have fixed disk permissions with the same result.

Anyone else experiencing the same? Any suggestions as to a fix?

Same issue here. Fresh install and then updating to 10.6.7 also results in freezes.
Re-applying combo updates or the tips in the previous posts do not work for me.

Ah, and I forgot to mention that with 10.6.7 I also had issues with iTunes/AppStore not able to log into my account and several Safari crashes (even with all plugins disabled)...

My MacBook Air (13", 2nd gen.) hangs after I open iTunes and click "Refresh" Podcasts button. This started happening immediately AFTER installing 10.6.7 via Software Update. I have to press the power button for several seconds to turn-off my computer, then power-on again. That's the only way to get out of the freezing!

I've already went to the Disk Utilities > click Repair Permission (more than 8 times User uploaded file), then restarted multiple times. It still freezes.

NOW, my system hangs every time I plug-in my iPhone 4 User uploaded file (because it launches iTunes and syncs to MobileMe).

This is bad.

I have a late 2010 MacBook Air 13.3" with the same problem. After updating from 10.6.6 to 10.6.7 via software update, the machine freezes every time I start iTunes.

No amount of fixing permissions or rebooting helps.

The freeze happens about 10-20 seconds after iTunes has started. The machine becomes completely unresponsive, including the mouse cursor. If I leave it in this state for a few minutes, the fan starts coming on more and more.

I have the freezing iTunes problem with the new update of iTunes and Snow Leopard too.

I just updated my MacBook Air to iTunes 10.2.1, and Snow Leopard to to 10.6.7.

I have a 13" MacBook Air with a 2.14 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of Ram.

So far I have tried Rebuilding the desktop. I have uninstalled, and installed iTunes based on these instructions:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224

I have installed the 10.6.7 Combo updater.

Nothing has helped. When I run iTunes it crashes within twenty seconds.

I hope we find a cure soon!
