Microphone does not work on the iPad 2 32gb with 3g. About a week has worked well! Then after the upgrade to new firmware for the video recording is heard only the noise! If much shouting into a microphone a voice slightly audible on the recording. Resett

I just discovered this problem also. I'm 50 days out of warranty! This should be a recall. Apple is loosing my respect.

OMG have just tried the vacuum trick after finding out the video of my 7 y.o. singing her first solo had a soundtrack of static. Guess what - it worked! Thanks for all the useful advice.

Olá Arthur, basta limpar a entrada, abaixo da câmera, com um aspirador de pó. O ruído vem de sujeira que se acumula lá. Funcionou perfeitamente aqui.

I thought I had the same issue. I turned off Bluetooth and problem solved. Turns out that my Bluetooth was sending he audio out instead of to the internal amp/speaker.

Vacuuming works! My iPad 2 (3G, white, 64GB) had the same issue. I had to do this several times and use maximum suction with as much seal to the mic as possible. Now it works fine. Thank you. :)

I followed advice to use a vacuum hose sealed around the mic area and it worked. Thank you.
