Hello,

I'm having a similar issue. As of about one hour ago, my iPhone 4 (running iOS 4.3.4) will no longer connect to my home wireless network. This has never happened before; wifi has always worked smoothly in the past. When I attempt to connect to the network by manually entering its respective password, it tells me that the password is incorrect (which is not the case). On a few occasions, it apears as though I am briefly connected to the network (as indicated by a checkmark next to the network name), but this quickly goes away and a notification appears informing me that the network password is incorrect. My attempts to resolve the issue have included:

-Hard reset

-Turning wifi off, then back on

-Selecting the network, choosing "forget this network", and typing in the password when the network appears

-Selecting "Other..." and manually entering the name, security type, and password for the network

-Resetting network settings

None of these attempts have resolved the issue. I would like to get this sorted out ASAP.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hello to all,

This wifi connection issue (iDevice connected in WiFi but no datas transfert) comes with the 2 last ios firmware with idevices with wifi N mode (iphone 4 & ipad 2).

The workaround is to disable the WiFi N mode on your wifi router and back to WiFI G mode. This is the only way to get back a good WiFi connection to your iDevice. Hope this bug will be fixed in iOS5 . This WiFi connection problem has been encountered with many settopbox brands.

Thanks Brendon, after much research I found that rolling back the airport was the solution. My iPhone was not connecting to wifi but iPad, Mac, and other devices worked. I tried airport mode with wifi on, resetting the network connections, rebooting the phone and all failed to resolve the connectivity. We had 4 iPhones all with the same wifi connection issue. Thank You!

Well, the problem resurfaced for me about an hour after I thought it was resolved: once again, none of the three iPhones in my household can gain access to my home Wi-Fi despite the fact that an iMac and iPad have no such problems. All three iPhones have the most updated iOS versions and none have ever been jailbroken.

I have seen Thierry's and SlammyJ's proposed solutions, but I need directions as to how I can "roll back" my router. I have a 1 TB time capsule (2nd generation) and an Airport Extreme (most recent generation) in my home.

Thanks in advance to all for any guidance.

My husband updated his Iphone 3gs on 7/23 and it dosn't connect to home Wifi anymore, I have not updated my iphone 3gs and it connects instantly to our home wifi, along with my tablet, laptops, and Blueray Player. We have followed every suggestion bought a new router, went to someone elses house, rebooted routers, restarted phone, restored phone, click forget network and started over... nothing has worked to make his phone connect to wifi except at airport and even then it flashes from wifi to E about 5 seconds after connecting to the wifi.

It has to be the update or both of our phones would be doing the same thing
