If they aren't familiar with it they can call AppleCare or go to an Apple Store, or get help from someone else.

The problem with waiting for a fix is there is no way that Apple engineers know anything about the posters problem. So when 4.3.4 comes out they will have the time to download and install it and then they will post again saying that 4.3.4 did not fix their problem. And 4.3.5 did not fix their problem, etc.

So instead of answering the question.....

Hi William, what AP/Router are you using - make, model and firmware version Also, on your network setup, - Is a MAC filter used, and do you know if WMM is Enabled?

You post something that can't be possibly true.

Apple should make their kit work like 100% of others around us today.

...and you may be annoyed but, where did you get this from?

We do NOT serve Apple, they serve us.

You maybe right here, you may be wrong, but whatever the case we can only help if the information is coming back.

They broke it and they are too greedy and arrogant to even admit it.

No comment for your next point.

My advice again: Go be noisy in an Apple store - GUARANTEED they will hop to it!

This may not help MAC users - but it may point in the right direction. My system is: (1) desktop, (3) notebooks (all Win7 or WinXP), Linksys WRT150n router, (3) iPhones and a periferal or two.

I've suffered the same fate as all of you - not being able to connect to my home wi-fi netowrk. My issues seem to have started after upgrading my iPhone4 to iOS 4.3.2. Over the past few weeks, I've tried every single suggestion that has been proposed - to no avail. I even drove 50 miles to have my iPhone4 diagnosed by an Apple "Genius" who reported no faults and then did a factory reset to iOS 4.3.3. That did nothing to improve my home wi-fi connectivity problem.

Yesterday, I discovered a thread that spoke to iPhone & iPad connectivity issues under Windows 7. The solution suggested was to disable the "HomeGroup" home networking feature. Proceeding along this line, I found and ran the "HomeGroup Troubleshooter" instead. Upon completion, it reported that it made some changes but some issues remained. Fine. I then did a network reset on the iPhone and voila! I've had a steady connection for the past 12+ hours. Perhaps someone smarter than me will understand the specifics that the troubleshooter addressed and be able to help the MAC users as well.

I am also having this problem - (on an iPhone 4 AND a 3GS) - for some reason two of our iPhone 4's are OK - but the other one isn't (same settings on each?)

The two troublesome ones will connect to some networks (bizzarley they seem to prefer non-Apple hardware networks) - but they wont connect to my home network (Apple Extreme base station with Airport Express units)

Its strange because all of our laptops/MacBooks and iPad's work fine - its just a couple of the iPhones????

I have tried to download the new apple software but it downloads then when processing says network connection timed out yet i know the network is still active and working! I am having the same issue with my IPhone 4. I was also having problems running anything on 3G. I did network reset and then i could no longer connect to my home wifi. I made appt with the genius bar at my local apple store. they tried to restore back to factory settings but recieved an error. They ended up replacing my iphone with a new one. I get home a restore from previous back up and so far my 3G is ok but I am still having the same wifi issue.

I select my network and type in my password. The phone seems to accept and has the check mark next to it like it is connected, but still remains on 3G. My laptop connects fine with no issues.

I find this VERY frustrating. This is a "standard" feature and it cannot work properly. I never had this problem with my Iphone 3. Makes me regret updating to an iphone 4.

The problem definately is IOS 4.3.3 related. I brought in my ipad2 with IOS 4.3.1 to Apple today because it was having issues upgrading the firmware. They ended up just giving me a new Ipad2 with IOS 4.3.3 pre-installed.

Guess what? I got home and the new IPAD2 with IOS 4.3.3 would not connect to my home network. And for all you wanna be nay sayers out there, I am a network IT Manager so don't tell me that the problem is with my network. Don't suggest how to fix this, as I have already done evey conceivable reboot, reset, forget, renew, including my own network (which btw is working fine with my macbook, my wifes macbook, both our iPhones running 3.1.2 and our ATT microcell).

So in my case there are only 2 variables:

1. - A brand new ipad2 with a broken wifi adapter.

2. - A brand new ipad2 with IOS 4.3.3 which has a bug.

I will be visiting Apple again tomorrow and will update you on what they think. I will also make them test and prove the wifi is working in the store before leaving!

I quit reading this thread after Brendon Dellar's suggestion on page 4 of the thread because it worked!

In summary, downgrading your Airport Extreme Base Station to firmware version 7.5.1. Immediatly solved the issue for me. All of our iphone 4 running 4.3.3 now work fine. I did have to restart my macbook to get it to connect to the aebs after I downgraded the firmware.

Sorry if someone else already posted this. I did not read post on pages 5-11

I found a solution that worked for me: after resetting the phone, and trying every other trick suggested in the above replies, I simply tried to reboot my rooter... and half way into the day, it hasn't yet failed. When I checked the information that my iphone had concerning the router, I noticed that it didn'T have anything written for "Router" and "DNS"...

Good Luck!! 🙂
