"There is a problem with your device"

I just plugged my iPad (1) into iTunes to sync and it said there was a new software update available and did I want to install it. I said yes and the update started. After a while, it said there was an error and I needed to restore which I attempted only to have an "There is a problem with your device" message come up. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and the same error message happens every time. I contacted Apple support and they said the "hardware" still has 60 days of warranty left but they want $29 per incident or $79 for ongoing support and an Apple Store is 100 miles away. I would appreciate any help I could get. Thanks.

Lucky news, i just get my iTouch run well.

I have just restored my iTouch by DFU mode (google if you don't know what is DFU). After the process, i still not work.

After, i updated my iTunes by Help-->Check for update. After the iTunes update, iTunes see my iTouch. Now, its version is 4.2.1. My iTouch is Gen3 8GB.

You can try it. Hope this help you all.

Maybe Apple has fixed the problem. ^^
