Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

"There is a problem with your device"

I just plugged my iPad (1) into iTunes to sync and it said there was a new software update available and did I want to install it. I said yes and the update started. After a while, it said there was an error and I needed to restore which I attempted only to have an "There is a problem with your device" message come up. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and the same error message happens every time. I contacted Apple support and they said the "hardware" still has 60 days of warranty left but they want $29 per incident or $79 for ongoing support and an Apple Store is 100 miles away. I would appreciate any help I could get. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me today. I am writing from Costa Rica.
We had an earthquake today around the same time that this problem was occurring. Then I heard on the news that there was another earthquake in south america and the other near Japan almost at the same time as that given in my country. I wonder. This have anything to do with the problem in the apple server?
