Getting 5002 error

Same here: 5002 on iPad (AppStore, iTunes), MacOSX (iTunes).

I literally just walked in the door with my new iPad and low and behold . . . just my luck that I can't put an app on it to save my life! At least it isn't just me.

ERROR 5002! How is it that we can sample the tunes but not buy?

Yep. Error 5002 when attempting to sign in on any account up here in Canada too.

I'm getting the same error itunes must be down. You'd think they post a message indicating its no available. Seems very unresponsive to there valued customers......

Same problem here, unknown error (5002) please try again later. When I try and login in to the itunes store. Very frustrating, but feeling a little better knowing it's not just me ;-)

Having issues as well!! Was working fine then tried to make a purchase and started getting "error 5002" UGH!!

rainEater18, people with older accounts before the new password requirements can still use their accounts just fine. The new rules only apply to new accounts or if you have to change or reset your password for whatever reason.

I have the same problem. I sit here in Germany. It seems to be an international issue. We have to wait . . .

hm... about the password...

My password is quite complex but would not comply to the requirements BrainEater18 mentions.

I just tried the password recovery procedure (iforgot)

And I´m still waiting for a mail (since 10 minutes now, which starts puzzling me).

Hopefully this is 5002 thing is not related to a hacking attack like the playstation network...

must be iTunes, I can't log in to the store, or update and download apps, music, or anything
