Google search suggestions have stopped appearing when I enter text in the Safari Google search bar. Only previous searches appear. This started immediately after installing updates for iTunes and Security Update 2011-003 today. Probably related but can't be sure.
Any others have the same problem?

same problem started today, can confirm it appeared when i did the above mentioned update.
if you switch to Bing (i use glims) it works.
This is starting to look like an iTunes issue. If your version is 10.3.1 your safari google search suggestions is broken. Early versions of iTunes, not.
i think this was a google issue. it's fixed for me.
Same here, no Google search box suggestions – and this is in the Safari 5.1 developer release.
Same problem here with my Late 2006 20" Intel iMac and Late 2009 13" MBP. Both on 10.6.6 with the security update and itunes update installed. Both have latest version of Safari.
I tried resetting Safari, that didn't work.
This is extremely frustrating, but I'm happy to know its not my computers. Clearly its something wrong at Apple or Google.
I just a test and for me it's really pointing to iTunes.
I did a full update a few days ago (the 6th or 7th). At that time the current iTunes was 10.2.2. Safari Google search was working properly; I'd get Suggestions and Recent Searches in the dropdown.
Then today I noticed there was just one new update: iTunes 10.3.1. I ranthe updates. Now when doing a Safari search I just Recent Searches, no Suggestions. With Yahoo and Bing I get both.
For me, at least, it's an iTunes issue. 11" MBA, fully updated.
Pretty sure it's not an iTunes issue. I've still got 10.2.2. Don't remember a recent security update, but I share my laptop so maybe my man got one. This is truly lame. After autofill stopped working, my search bar switched to Bing on its own (i think)! Anyone else experience that? Getchur act together Googs!
Same problem as everyone else. But the crazy thing is how the Smart Search Field/Suggestions don't work with Google but work if I use Bing or Yahoo as my search engine. I'm smelling a conspiracy.

I've not updated anything on either my MacBook Pro with 10.6.7 and Safari 5.0.5, and my G4 MDD with 10.4.11 and Safari 4.1.3. Both computer have the same issue starting today and, as I've added nothing and have the same problem as everyone else, I cannot attibute it to anything Apple did.

Count me in. I spent awhile seeing if I turned off anything that caused this. After some time googling finally came across the old thread of this. Went to last page and saw the last post was today! With the link to here.
