Will OSX Lion still support FCP Studio?

With the disaster that FCP X is turning out to be, is there any indication as to whether or not any versions of FCP Studio will still work with OS X Lion? I have a sneaking suspicion that it will not, considering the approach Apple has taken with the FCP X release, but I haven't heard anything definitive yet. I'm hoping Apple will come out with some kind of statement regarding FCP X soon, because the way this release has been handled is absolutely bizzare. If there is no intention of continuing to support the professional community, just say so, and everyone can move on to something else.

someone also told me I could have used backup cloner software to make a clone that i could work from should the upgrade go awry. especially since this has caused me to delay delivery to client.

This is also a really good resource to check compatibility for hardware, software, plugins, firmware, etc...before updating: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

I'm just hesitant to get a download-only OS for my Mac. I'd rather have a physical storage medium at hand - just in case.

Apple states there are ways to repair your harddisk in a worst-case scenario; but since my trust in Apple has been seriously damaged I'll be waiting at least for the announced thumb drive with Lion OS.

Thanks!

I made a Boot DVD. I'm using it right now to install Lion on my MacBook - and so far everything seems to work fine.

I'll play with it over the weekend and see how it behaves before I try to upgrade my Mac Pro. Thanks again for your input.

Actually FCP 7.0.3 runs just fine but SoundTrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Color was killed by Lion until after reading a comment here I copied the apps again from my Snow Leopard installation into the Lion boot partition apps folder and now it they do run.

Don't know what happened on the upgrade but it had me seriously peeved until I read the following comment.

Thanks for the correction, sorry for the original inaccurate post.
