Have run applejack, reset printing system & reinstalled printer (FujiXerox 5065II with Fiery RIP), but the print Queue just keeps pausing. The error_log gives this: printer-state-message="/usr/libexec/cups/backend/lpd failed"
Does anyone have a similar problem or found a workaround?

The files are system files, so are hidden from everyday view. Open a Finder window, and under 'Go' you should select 'Go to Folder'. Simply type in '/usr/libexec/cups/backend' and that will navigate to the backend folder.

Don't know exactly, what it does. Kind of replacing the lpd File.

That's brilliant garlun. Downloaded it, ran it, installed the printer. Worked first time. No problems so far.

Thank you Lykeios! I just applied your patch and all is good now. I am using an iMac 27" that is running 10.6.8 and can now print again to a Xerox Phaser 6360DN printer.
Garlun i didn't use the DMG file and it worked with the CNET process.
Docucolor 252 printing just fine
Reinstall as LPD not as Bonjour. Now im upgrading getting ready to Mac OS X Lion.
Just in case suscribe to @xeroxsupport and @mac_fix_it they offer a faster solution than MAC

Tried this and it worked fine. Now I am back in printing. Looked into the script and it copies the necessary files, so its fine.

You can add me to Konica Minolta Bizhub C452 group. Not a problem until I upgraded to 10.6.8...then printing problems from the start.
This worked for me. I have a Xerox Color 550 and was getting the same problem, pausing printer. Wierdly it did not start when I installed the 10.6.8 update but a week later. All good now after the patch.

Alejandro, your problem doesn't look like the same issue being discussed in this thread. You may want to search another thread or simply start a new thread. You should also look for crash log of rastertoescpII, and post it.
I updated to 10.6.8 and then I was not able to print. The error seems different:
/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS/ rastertoescpII failed
But still I think it belongs to this thread. Am I wrong?
Epson 1280 wasn't printing since latest update and Lykeios's patch worked for me too. Thank you!
