10.6.8 latency issues with ZOOM R16

10.6.8 introduced a ton (Over 100 ms) of latency into my recording chain, essentially creating an 1/8th note delay at some tempos. The update also introduced a bunch of digital noise, so even if I could play ahead, it is impossible to record like this. Is anyone else having a similar problem? I've heard problems with popping audio and dropouts, but nothing pertaining to recording.

I tested this new drivers for a couple of days and everything worked fine until yesterday. While i was rocking (playing my guitar) my macbook started to emit high-pitched sounds (Larsen effect due to the use of the integrated audio I/O of the mac) and suddenly ceasing to recognize the zoomr16 as audio driver/interface.

An error window poped out to tell me that the error number 25973 was caused by the audio driver.

i also had to restart the mac 2 times because garage band didn't want to start....

I hope that zoom solves this problem as soon as possible...

Hello people, here is the answer I've got from the Zoom rep here in Canada:

Dani,

I took a look at some of the forums, and I saw the posts regarding the new update. It's not an official release and I can't recommend it. I've heard nothing from Zoom regarding a test update being sent out. I'm sure they have beta builds that they are currently testing. The user states it is version 1.3.2 or something which indicates that it is not the final build. I'm sure the official release will be labeled 1.4.0. If you'd like to contact Zoom, who may have more information, you can e-mail them at info@zoom.co.jp.

Please feel free to get back to me with any additional questions or concerns. I'm here to help!

Thank you,
