Anyone else getting "Invalid serial number" when going through the upgrading process at http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate ?

It wasn't working earlier this morning but it went through fine now. Just try again later.

the same here in austria. i am currently downloading. the procedure was a little bit complicated (i had to enter some credit card information and had to log in a couple of times but now it works) estimated download: 3:30 :=)

I shall add my problems to the list: I bought my iMac on July 11th "offline" in an Apple partner store in Germany. When clicking the up-to-date-program link, my serial number is rejected. Even worse: my system in the Apple database is regarded as already three months old (which would explain why I cannot upgrade). I called Apple Care, sent copies of my bill... and was told to wait, they'll be working on it.

Something different to me at the moment all ok, Go to up-date of my country ( United Kingdom ) they ask first for my serial number, and has been accepted next, place my data, date of purchase and upload the invoice of purchase, after that they active my e-mail to receive the CODE and waiting now to validate .
Be careful, if you going to US site always say We cannot find your serial number ... ]
I changed my country to USA and it's working.

It seems it's about MacBookPros ! So let's hope it's only a few hundreds cause if it's all MAC products we will wait for a while...

Can someone, who was able to upgrade for free and had the serial rejected before, explain what he did precisely ?
I bought an iMac from the Apple Online Canada Store about a month ago, had my serial code rejected this morning numerous times, but attempted successfully a few hours later.
I went to my country's up to date program page (http://www.apple.com/ca/macosx/uptodate/)
Clicked on "Redeem from the Apple Online Store" link
Selected iMac, then selected my date of purchase (not ship date which I thought might cause a problem)
Opened up the Apple System Profiler in the Utilities folder and copied the serial number (copy and paste since I thought the issue might be the interpretation of the 0s and Os getting mixed up)
For place of purchase I typed in "Apple Online Store"
For city and province I entered my info related to my billing address
Hit the Qualify system button and it said it was successful and follow the instructions to d/l Lion, which was pretty simple, just copy the code they give you, click Redeem in the App Store, and d/l Lion
mine is still rejected.
i called apple and they told me to wait and try again and said that the issue would be solved before tomorrow.
how long did you guys wait till it worked?
