So, just tried again this morning after almost 24 hours. The "Redeem from the Apple Online Store" stil had the same issue saying couldn't find my serial number. However, when I tried the web form submission (where you need to upload a copy of your receipt) at https://uptodate.apple.com/us/uptodate/macosx/, it accepted my serial number finally. Didn't get the automatic upgrade yet, as they have to verify everything first. I guess it'll be a few hours before Apple emails my redemption code and I can actually begin upgrading.

I bought my new MBP on the 15th of June through the Apple Education store, on first attempt yesterday my serial number also came up as invalid, but it was fine when I tried at 7pm last night.

Not sure if this is due to me calling tech support or whether the system was updated with online purchases later in the day.

I would call Apple if you are still having no luck. Lion is nice, worth the hassle!

I don`t know what the "Must sign before July 19th" advertise means, if they first indeed said that for customers who bought before the realse date they would have 30 days to redeem Lion. I would appreciate your help! I`m from Chile and my sister who lives in San Francisco bought a customized MBP from the Apple Store and then shipped it to me.

Thank you very much!
