Does anyone else have the bug in Lion where the cursor will sometimes shoot to a corner of the screen? I'm using a Magic Mouse with my Macbook Pro and from what I've seen it will sometimes happen when the mouse is moving from one window to another one and then it will just go all the way across the screen to the edge in the direction I was moving the cursor.

Oh, it's not just in Lion. I've had the issue since Leopard (but no issues with Magic Trackpad). Seems to be related to mouses and the way they track. Try putting a piece of clean paper under the mouse.
I'm finding out that most of what I think is a "bug" is really a "design feature" 😕

The thing is that I've been using Snow Leopard for almost a year and never had this issue with the mousepad that I've got. Guess something changed in Lion for me.
I also have this problem. It is really frustrating!! How do we fix it??
I'm using an 27" iMac with a Magic Mouse on Lion (10.7) . This problem did not occur with 10.6 .
I've had that problem but assumed that it was a dirty mouse under-surface and clean it from time to time. But perhaps it is a flaw; I know that the track pad in Lion stopped working for me after I downloaded three updates.
I'm having this problem with a 27'' imac and magic mouse. I think it is a design feature gone wrong.
The idea is that you move the mouse fast to 'jump' in a particular direction in order to make navigating larger screens easy. However, the problem is that it seems to be working in overdrive and jumping in random directions when you don't want it to.
It really is a major problem on my machine.
Hopefully not redundant, but I just wanted to say that I'm having the same problem and that it definitely wasn't present in Snow Leopard. If anyone finds a solution or workaround, please don't forget to come back here and fill all of us in! This issue is really making my upgrade process a lot more painful. 😟
I get this same problem also for the first time ever using my Magic Mouse since upgrading to Lion. Starting to annoy me a bit since one of my corners is set up to trigger mission control...
I forgot to mention that this issue is hugely exacerbated by the use of multiple monitors. I can be working on the right-most monitor and suddenly my cursor shoots across all monitors, leaving me to have a scavenger hunt for my cursor to find which monitor it's on and return back to my workspace. Unacceptable!
Yep, 27" mid 2010 iMac with Magic Mouse. Everything was fine with SL, but once I updated to Lion, the cursor's jumping all over the place. It's bad enough as it is, but is even worse when it jumps to a hot corner. Please fix this!
I have the same problem with mine!!! It is annoying, but not critical. I hope that someone finds a fix, work-around, or other solution.
I'm having this issue as well. 27" iMac from 2009. Bluetooth Magic Mouse. The **** thing just jumps all over the place, instantly and at random, every few minutes or so.

Im having the an issue with the cursor moving all over the screen when I upgraded to Lion on my MBP. It shoots around the screen and sometimes opening Launchpad and closing it as well as Mission Control. The only difference is this is occuring on my trackpad built into the laptop. Never had this issue once until I upgraded to Lion.
