Does anyone else have the bug in Lion where the cursor will sometimes shoot to a corner of the screen? I'm using a Magic Mouse with my Macbook Pro and from what I've seen it will sometimes happen when the mouse is moving from one window to another one and then it will just go all the way across the screen to the edge in the direction I was moving the cursor.

I have been having this exact problem with Lion as well. I have a 21.5 inch iMac w/ Magic Mouse.
me too, every annoying. Never had this problem with snow leopord until i installed Lion. It's one of many bugs i've got now with Lion 😠

My setup is MacBook Pro 2009 13" dual-screened with a Dell 23" + Magic Mouse
I never had the problem until I updated my MBP to Lion.
The problem is very annoying as the mouse cursor frequently disappeared on me and ended up on the other screen. I would really appreciate to find a solution to it.

It's just now and then now, but it was worse at some point, to the point of being unusable. I think that was while a process was hanging though.
Also had a problem with the trackpad in Lion on a MacPro. Cursor moving stuttering and jumping.
After restart the Magic Trackpad (Button on the side) the problem was solved.
Yeah, me too! I'm going nuts. The cursor is going berzerk all over the screen.
I'm with a iMac 27" i7 and a Magic Mouse. I had no problems with the Snow Leopard at all... ever!
Lion is just a joke in that respect.
Was fine with SL here - after the Lion upgrade (and directly after) - mouse is flying all over the place. Incredibly annoying, the computer is basically unusable now. Tried new batteries, rebooted, dinked with the settings and reset PRAM - none of it has made any difference.
So why, oh why, can't Apple do the sensible thing and allow us to configure our own rate of pointer acceleration? Let's see, KDE, Gnome, XFCE, and goodness knows what other desktops under Linux allow you to. And, though I purjer myself, so does Windoze....

Macbook Air 11", tried everything even disabling assistive devices in universal settings. No change.
Gave up on bluetooth, tried a wireless USB based Logitech M315 mouse and it's working perfectly.
It's a workaround but there's that little USB nib that always has to be plugged in, it would sure be nice to be able to use bluetooth for everything. I would blame the hardware except that all this started directly after the Lion upgrade... but who knows.
Zeugmatis, is it an Apple Magic Mouse that was giving you the problem?

Worked great on multiple Macs until the Lion upgrade last night.
The Logitech I have that uses USB wireless (not bluetooth) is working a thousand
times better thus far.
I also have the same problem but even with using an old wired Microsoft Scroll-Wheel Mouse. This never happened with Snow Leopard. I seems like a software process problem rather than an hardware problem. The problem seems to worsen when heavy network activity rises.
I had the disappearing mouse pointer issue after upgrading to Lion on my iMac and couldn't effectively use it until I called AppleCare (which was free) and followed their advice.
Resetting the System Management Controller seems to have fixed the problem using these steps:

While I have only been using the machine for an hour since the fix, the mouse pointer and cursor are both working as they should.
That did it for me! After a week of mouse jumps only when saving to my Mac Pro's SSD (primary drive of course), the jump is gone. Thanks for posting, ocphotographer!
