Upgraded to iTunes 10.4. Now my logitech MX1100 will not control iTunes anymore. Updated SetPoint. Did not fix. Any Ideas?

I have Window 7 64-bit - all the latest updates/service packs. Updated to SetPoint 6.30.41 (latest on Logictech website). Does anyone have any more suggestions? Before the iTunes update, I could use the buttons on the mouse to control Next, Previous song and play/pause. Now they do not work. Thanks

Hello to all

I own a MX5500 keyboard and have SetPoint 6.30.41 with driver 5.30.67 installed. I had the same problem with multimedia keys not working with my iTunes.

I think i have found a solution which works for me. I googled a bit arround and read some posts about people haveing the same issues with other programs not only itunes.

Following some suggestion i seem to have found a solution for the problem and my play/pause, next and previous buttons work with iTunes 10.4.1

- You need to open a text editor (like notepad) as an administrator.

- Open the SetPoint players.ini file (C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\players.ini)

- Edit the line under the [Players] section to match the line bellow (bold is the wndClass which is to be changed)

iTunes=wac,iTunes.exe,ITWindow,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,0,1,iTunes

- Save the file

- Restart the SetPoint and hopefully play/pause, next and previous buttons should work (at least they work for me)

I hope this helps

I googled a bit looking at other solutions f the same problem but with different programs. Many of them were mentioning that the wndClass in the SetPoint players.ini file needs to be corrected. I downloaded the WinID program which reads everything about a windows you select including the Class name. I tryed to correct my players.ini with the new Class name and it worked.

Im glad to hear that this fix works for so many of you.

Best regards

Jure
